Steven Moffat Confirms Full Doctor Who Series in 2012

A few weeks ago, a rumor started that BBC wasn't going to air a complete 7th series of Doctor Who in 2011, but today Steven Moffat debunked the rumors.   Moffat has recently stated that we would be getting a full season in 2012.  Matt Smith has gone on record saying the same thing.  Matt recently said to expect the full 13 episode season, and also a Christmas special!

Here's what Moffat had to say when he was asked if the rumors were true because of BBC's financial situation:

"Absolute nonsense. First of all, we are airing in 2012. The only thing that's happening is that we're moving a bit later. There's lots of reasons for that that will become clear quite soon. It is certainly not a reduced episode count. Do you think the BBC would really let that happen? With an average audience of 10 million? ... Doctor Who's international profile is huge. It's never been more successful. You're not going to reduce a show like this. The opposite is going to happen, in fact."

I've got faith in Moffat, but now I'm only worried that the Ponds may be leaving us at some people during the 7th season.  Karen Gillian stated that she would be returning to Doctor Who for season 7, but will she be returned sans Rory, or perhaps for a short stay.. And to even make your head spin more, take a look at the just released episode titles for the reminder of the 6th seres.  Spoilers Ahead!

Episode 8 - “Let’s Kill Hitler”

Episode 9 - “Night Terrors”

Episode 10 - “The Girl Who Waited”

Episode 11 - “The God Complex”

Episode 12 - “Closing Time”

Episode 13 - “The Wedding Of River Song”

Yup.  You read that right.  Episode 13 is titled the Wedding of River Song!  I have no idea what this means, and I'm sure it's not as obvious or simple as the Doctor marrying River..
