Prisoner of Azkaban is always one of my favorite books in the series to reread. It's one of the happiest, and really brings the series to it's brightest moments before falling to it's darkest hour. Harry gets to have a great year with his friends and with his teachers. He befriends Remus Lupin, who turns out to be a great friendof his parents. But besides that, he also gets fly on a Firebolt, and win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor!
Even though this book might be the least important to the series as whole, it still gives us an awesome look at the Marauder's lives. We get introduced to The Mauraders Map, and are even able learn about who actually wrote it. We also get to learn about the real traitor, Peter Pettigrew. As I've said before, I would love JK Rowling to write a story about the Marauders so that we can understand why they would befriend Peter. He doesn't seem like someone that those three would necessarily choose to hang out with.
I'm going to make this a short post, as I still need to get a Goblet of Fire one out before tomorrow, and start Order of the Phoenix. But, I'll leave you guys with these final thoughts.. How does Lupin feel about seeing Harry in the flesh after 12 years? I can't imagine having to look upon your best friends face on his sons body. And how does Lupin feel about Sirius? Obviously, he thought that he was evil, and that he actually betrayed James and Lily.
It amuses me that Sirius is able to forgive everyone so quickly, after having spent 13 years in Azkaban for the supposed murder of his best friend and wife.. I mean, even his best friend, Lupin, didn't believe he was innocent..
How did you like The Prisoner of Azkaban?
