Geeky Weekly Roundup #13

This week brings us one week closer to both Comic-Con and the final Harry Potter film... We've got the scoop on both amazing events.

Marvel Opts Out of Hall H at Comic-Con

After last year's amazing showing at Comic-Con, Marvel has opted out of sending their superhero team of Avengers to Hall H.  I'm pretty shocked about this news. My greatest memory from last year's Con was seeing the Avengers all together on stage for the first time!  But at the same time, I can see why Marvel would be a bit scared about having to compete with themselves. I honestly don't even think that brand new footage from the Avengers would even be able to top the awesomeness that was last years Marvel Panel.  But as I mentioned in my article earlier this week that questioned Comic-Con's appeal, would Marvel even want to show fans Avenger footage early?  We all saw what fan approval did to Greean Lantern at last year's Con..

But, this doesn't mean that Marvel won't be at Comic-Con last year.  They're still going to have a huge booth on the Convention floor, but they just won't have a panel in the legendary Hall H.  But with Captain America set to hit theaters on July 22, many people are starting to think that there may be a special early screening in the San Diego area.  This hasn't been confirmed yet, but I would really love for this to be true!

Wanna Play Old Republic and Mass Effect 3 Early?

Well, if you're going to be in San Diego for Comic-Con, you should head to the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel (it's across the street from the Con) because Bioware is going to be setting up shop, and allowing fans the chance to play the games early.   Fans will also have the chance to play Dragon Ages II DLC.  You don't have to be a comic-con attendee to get access to this, so if your in the San Diego area (and you don't mind the long lines) then head to the Hilton for some awesome gaming!

Check out the awesome soundtrack for the final Harry Potter film.  There's not much more that I can say besides WOW!  This sounds amazing!  I cannot wait for this movie!

Firstly old republic looks awesome I wish it came out this summer so I could play it, but next spring we should definitely check that out. Secondly that kinda sucks about the avengers that's just such a great crew of people, but they might not have been able to get everybody there on the same day, but captain America is going to have a panel right? And thirdly and most importantly I'm so stoked for Harry Potter less than 3 weeks!!!
