Two Con's to Attend Before The San Diego Comic-Con

Posted by Christina Cooper on April 12, 2011 at 8:36 PM

We here at Frak Earth are counting down the days until its time for San Diego Comic-Con.  We weren't able to go to WonderCon because we're poor college students.  But, today, we realized that there are two local conventions we can attend that sound totally awesome.

If you live in Southern California, or even the LA area, consider your self extremely lucky.  You're going to get to be apart of two comic-cons!!  The first one is next weekend, and is simply a one day comic expo at Long Beach.  I've never been before, and its only their second year of doing this expo.  If you love comic books, you've gotta try and go!  It's only $15, and if you like The Guild, you really have to come.  The Guild plans to film part of season 5 at the con, and are asking people to show up early to be extras!  Here's their official statement from their facebook page:

Be an extra on Season 5 of The Guild - we're filming 4/23 at Long Beach Comic Con and you can be a special "convention extra" by using code "guild23" when you buy your ticket. Anyone attending the 4/23 'Con may end up in the background, however we have a limited number of spots for a specific scene we're filming at 7:30AM. Your name is automatically on the list when you use the code.

The Long Beach Comic Expo takes place on April 23rd, and goes from 10-6.  I plan on going, and hope to see you all there!  Click here for more information and for ticket information.

Anaheim Wizard Con is happening in two weeks!  It's going to be totally awesome and have plenty of guest stars.  The most recent star to headline the show is non other than Battlestar Galactica's Number Six; Tricia Helfer!  Other headliners are John Schneider, Smallville and Dukes of Hazzard, and the original Batman and Robin, Adam West and Burt Ward.   Tickets for this awesome 3 day comic-con are only $45 if you buy online, so if you plan on going, I'd buy early.  Click here if you want to buy tickets or check out their three day schedule.
